Dainik Unit Converter is a comprehensive measurement converter covering 17 categories and over 130 units — including traditional Nepali measurement systems still in everyday use. Whether you are converting Ropani to Square Feet for a land deal, Dharni to Kg for wholesale grain, or Mana to Pathi for cooking, this tool handles it instantly.
Nepali land measurement (जग्गा नापी)
Nepal's traditional land measurement system uses a unique set of units. Under the Ropani system (used in hilly regions): 1 Ropani = 16 Aana = 64 Paisa = 5,476 sq ft. Under the Bigha system (used in Terai/plains): 1 Bigha = 20 Kattha = 400 Dhur = 72,900 sq ft. Our Area converter supports both systems and converts between traditional and metric units.
Weight: Dharni, Pau, Tola (तौल)
Traditional Nepali weight units are still used for gold, silver, groceries, and wholesale markets. 1 Tola = 11.66 grams (standard for gold and silver), 1 Pau = 46.64 grams (used for ghee, spices, and dry goods), 1 Dharni = 12 Pau = 559.68 grams (used for larger quantities of grain and produce).
Volume: Mana, Pathi, Muri (आयतन)
Nepali volume measurements are commonly used for rice, grains, and liquids. 1 Mana ≈ 0.568 litres, 1 Pathi = 8 Mana ≈ 4.544 litres, and 1 Muri = 20 Pathi ≈ 90.88 litres. The Mana-Pathi system is still the standard in many Nepali households for measuring rice and grains.
Length: Angul, Bitta, Haat (लम्बाइ)
Traditional body-based length units are still referenced in some contexts: 1 Angul ≈ 1.91 cm (finger width), 1 Bitta ≈ 22.86 cm (span of outstretched fingers), 1 Haat ≈ 45.72 cm (cubit, from elbow to fingertip), 1 Dhanusha ≈ 1.9 m (bow length), and 1 Kos ≈ 3.2 km (a traditional mile).
International conversions
Beyond Nepali units, the converter supports all common metric and imperial units: metres to feet, kilograms to pounds, litres to gallons, Celsius to Fahrenheit, and many more across 17 categories including Speed, Pressure, Energy, Power, Data Storage, Frequency, Force, Electric Current, Voltage, Resistance, and Angle.
