Dainik is an aggregator, not a newsroom. Every headline here was written and published by an established Nepali outlet, and every link goes directly to that outlet's own page. We collect, de-duplicate and categorise — we don't rewrite, and we don't host the article text.

Why aggregate at all

Nepal's media landscape is unusually fragmented, with dozens of national outlets publishing in both Nepali and English. Following a story properly often means checking several sites. Pulling the headlines into one feed makes it obvious what is actually leading the day, and makes it easy to see how different outlets frame the same event.

How categories work

Stories are sorted by matching keywords in the headline and summary against a fixed bilingual taxonomy — national, politics, world, business, stock market, technology, sports, entertainment, health, education and opinion. This is deliberately independent of each source's own tags, which vary wildly between outlets. It is an automated process, so expect the occasional misfiled story.

Reading critically

Aggregation is not endorsement. Inclusion in this feed says nothing about a story's accuracy — for anything consequential, check the original source, and look at how more than one outlet is reporting it.
